Thus, the blood flows more smoothly, and the heart pumps more efficiently. Hydrochlorothiazide works by prompting the kidneys to pass the unneeded salt and water from the body into the urine.
Joltan Plus Caplet may also be used along with other medicines in the treatment of certain conditions as recommended by the doctor. It is used with other Anti-Hypertensive to treat high blood pressure.

Joltan Plus belongs to the Diuretics class of medicines. Diuretics increase the production of urine in the body. This helps removal of water from the body.

Joltan Plus is eaten with or without food. Joltan Plus is eaten This medicine should be taken usually in the morning.
Typical Dosage
The typical adult dose of Joltan Plus is 160 mg valsartan and 12.5 mg hydrochlorothiazide to 320 mg valsartan and 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide once a day. The maximum dose for adults of Joltan Plus is 320 mg valsartan and 25 mg hydrochlorothiazide per day. Joltan Plus is typically used at the same time every day.

Tell your doctor if you develop new symptoms. Talk to your doctor if dry mouth, drowsiness, muscle fatigue, thirst, restlessness, very low urine output, lack of energy, confusion, fast heartbeat, weakness, seizures, nausea, vomiting, musclepain, cramps, skin rash, a decrease in vision, and eye pain. If you have issues with the health of your liver, A low starting dose is recommended in patients with liver dysfunction. Consult with your doctor before stopping the use of Joltan Plus Caplet.
To see the impact of Joltan Plus Caplet on the body, your doctor may recommend a lower initial dose. Please follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. Older patients may see an increase in the risk of side-effects. Hence, a lower dose may be recommended.
Use in Children
The safety and effectiveness of using this medicine in children has not been established. Safety and effectiveness of Joltan Plus have not been evaluated in children under the age of 18 years.
Lab Tests
Before starting this medicine, your doctor may ask you to undergo certain medical or laboratory tests (Sodium) to monitor for side-effects. After starting the medicine, your doctor should monitor you for these tests to make sure that you do not have side-effects of this medicine. Your doctor may require that certain tests be performed before using Joltan Plus Caplet. The doctor may ask you to have Sodium test. Blood sodium level should be maintained before starting treatment with this medicine.
Storage
Store Joltan Plus Caplet at 15-30°C (59-86°F), and protect from moisture and keep it in an air-tight container. Keep thismedicine away from children and pets.
Medicines may be given for uses other than those listed in the medicine guide. Do not use Joltan Plus Caplet for symptoms for which it was not prescribed. Do not give Joltan Plus Caplet to others who may have similar symptoms as you. Self-medication can cause harm.
