Mepiryl belongs to the Sulfonylurea class of medicines. Sulfonylureas are a class of antidiabetic drugs used in the management of diabetes mellitus type 2. These medicines act by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas.

Mepiryl is eaten with food. Take this medicine with breakfast or with the first meal of the day. Do not leave any meal when you are on Mepiryl tablets. Swallow Mepiryl tablets whole with at least half glass of water. Do not chew or crush the tablets.
